The Clifford Harter Post 163 in Alturas, California was chartered in September 5, 1988. It was named after 1st Lt. Clifford Clyde Harter who was born March 14, 1891 in Modoc County.  He was killed in action on the battlefield of Argonne, France on September 30, 1918 where he was serving with Company M 364th Infantry 91st Division American Expeditionary Forces (A.E.F.).

We normally meet on the second Saturday of the month. See our calendar for details of meetings and events.
